Our Story
Cory and Grace met in May 2022 at First Baptist Spartanburg after a young adults Bible study, where their mutual friends, the McCraws, introduced them. A birthday message from Cory to wish Grace a Happy Birthday sparked a conversation that quickly turned into something more. By June, they were officially dating.
For the next year, their relationship grew through FaceTime calls and weekend visits, navigating long distance with a shared sense of purpose. In 2023, Grace moved back to the Upstate so they could be part of the same church community and continue dating with marriage in mind.
In December 2024, Cory proposed—on a Tuesday, no less—and Grace said yes with a laugh and a joyful heart and a statement of "A proposal? On a Tuesday!?".
Together, they love bike rides, Hilton Head Island, the Biltmore, and their church family at FBS. Their relationship is built on friendship, faith, and a deep love for one another, and they’re so excited to begin this new chapter side by side.
